Our Nitrado review will highlight some of the best features of Nitrado, like games available, coupons, promotions, payment methods and also taking a look at Nitrado reviews from customers.
Generally, Nitrado has a wide range of games available and performance is reasonable for the prices stated on its website.
Firstly before getting into the review, take a look at how we determine the quality of a game hosting provider based on our criteria:
- Value for money
- Control panel
- Customer support
Promotions aren’t generally included as both promotions and coupons aren’t factors of quality.
Nitrado Review 2020
Taking a look at Nitrado’s performance, we see some fairly impressive AMD Ryzen CPU, which is AMD’s answer to Intel. These CPU’s are probably one of the best low cost performing CPU’s and won’t let your server down whatever game you’re playing.
Nitrado ensures they monitor the performance of their CPU’s and any problems may occur. Overall, Nitrado passed our test in our performance review criteria.
We used Nitrado for an Ark server, and with Ark being a graphical game this is a testing challenge for their servers, we also included plenty of mods and plugins on the server as well as maps. They also offer Ark on PS4, which is handy.
For a control panel, they use a custom Nitrado web interface which is very easy to use and maintain your game server.
Briefly looking at their customer service, we contacted live support and they immediately responded with fairly detailed answers, however, on our second attempt to contact support we saw
Nitrado is popular with its Ark hosting and Minecraft hosting, which are both at affordable prices. And as a bonus, Nitrado offers web hosting and cloud servers.
Available Games at Nitrado
Nitrado doesn’t lack in the games available as well as packing each game with as many features to help you develop the server. With well over 55 games available, Nitrado will likely have your game in stock, from DayZ to PixArk Nitrado isn’t going to disappoint.
Here is a list of all the games available at Nitrado:

- ARMA 3
- Battlefield 3 & 4
- Conan Exiles

Nitrado Payment Methods
As for payment methods, Nitrado pretty much has all the important aspects of payments from Paypal to Skrill.
You can take a look at all the Nitrado payment methods below:
- Direct Transfer (Online Banking)
- Skrill (Moneybookers)
- Telephone (mobile and landline)
- credit card
- American Express, Mastercard, Mastercard Debit, Visa, Visa Debit, JCB
All of these and normal bank transfer. So you’ll likely be able to pay for your services quite easily.
Nitrado Downtime, DDoS Protection
An important aspect of all of our reviews is DDoS protection as it’s a common occurrence among game servers. Looking at a host like MCPro Hosting, you’ll see that they have poor DDoS protection and thus large downtimes.
With Nitrado, they have a publically available twitter which they tweet about any downtime any of their servers are having, so if you think it’s a Nitrado based issue, you can check their twitter page.
Rating the DDoS protection and downtime of Nitrado we’d give it at 7/10, they have meltdown problems twice or even three times a month, sometimes not at the fault of Nitrado.
Nitrado Customer Service / Response Time
As mentioned above, we contacted the Nitrado’s customer support and concluded it in our review and below.
As they have an entire support section with FAQs, Wiki, Forum, and a Phone/ticket system that asks you brief questions prior to creating the ticket so Nitrado can filter to which is the best department.
While reviewing hosts like ScalaCube we found customer support to be an important feature for these more complicated game hosting providers.
When we contacted them regarding FTP access, they responded within 24 hours, which certainly isn’t the best, but we’ve had worse from game hosting providers.
Prices and Setup
Taking a look at prices, we can see that Nitrado offers some fairly competitive prices. For example, Minecraft starts at $3.66/mo – which is fairly good for most games as most game hosting providers will start at higher prices due to standard packages.
Setup is very easy and instant with Nitrado.
Nitrado Reviews From Customers
James Kenly: Thanks to Nitrado I know have a server setup for my Ark friends. They helped me out throughout the process.
Uic Gaming: I need to upload my saves on the server but they re not able to provide me working FTP access, I have access to my FTP but I don’t have the permissions to do something (folder formation, deleting saves, uploading) The issue is very easy my FTP user account doesn’t have the permissions to do it, but seems its too hard for the support… I assume that people don’t know their job (asking to turn to a “fix” link to fix issues of authorization is a joke.)
PopsicleG: Help me with a lot, Edson Garcia! Your new live chat device solved a dilemma perhaps too soon as it took a long time to hit. Thank you so much! Thank you!
